Who I am

WHO I AM:

My name is Kelly Vaughan and I am Mountain Girl Metals. I do jewelry repair and custom design. I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado with my husband, Jeff, and our dog named Cow. I love that I get to play with all sorts of jewelry and sometimes be a bit fancy, but I also love getting away from the city and going camping, 4-wheeling, and exploring.

MY INSPIRATION:

Most of my inspiration comes from the mountains and beauty around Colorado. Jeff and I enjoy off-roading, sight-seeing, and learning about the mines, the people, and the history of the places we visit. We are always looking for interesting locations and beautiful views - both of which are abundant here. I also love when I can find local gemstones to use in my jewelry. 

MY TRAINING:

 From learning about jewelry while working in a pawn shop to becoming a repair and custom design jeweler, I have worked in the jewelry field in some capacity for almost 20 years. I have been trained to work on and with all precious metals and I have my Diamond Grading certificate through the Gemological Institute of America.
